Child Death Helpline
Freephone service

You can become a volunteer

Calls to the Helpline continue to increase and we would be interested to hear from bereaved parents who may feel able to offer emotional support to others who have been affected by the death of a child.

Potential volunteers must be bereaved parents who have been bereaved for a minimum of three years.

No previous qualification is necessary.  Professional training will be given.

Potential volunteers should be able to travel with relative ease to either Liverpool or London on a regular basis (travel expenses can be reimbursed).  It is hoped that volunteers will be available for at least two three-hour duties per month.
