Association for Children with Life Threatening and Life Limiting conditions, and their families (ACT) – runs a national helpline service for families and professionals working with children with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions. It supports professionals and informs families by signposting them to information, help and relevant services. It is also there for you if you just need someone to talk to.

Antenatal Results and Choices (ARC) – is a national charity which provides non-directive support and information to parents throughout the antenatal testing process.

Baby MPS - the Baby Mailing Preference Service is here to help reduce the number of baby related mailings you receive.

British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) – is the UK's professional membership association for counsellors and psychotherapists.

Candle Project – at Christopher's Hospice maintains a blog of books and articles on bereavement.

Care of Next Infant (CONI) – FSID has set up the Care of the Next Infant (CONI) programme to help parents work through some of their fears. CONI is run in hospitals and community health centres and involves midwives, paediatricians, GPs and health visitors. 

Child Bereavement Trust (CBT) - A national charity which helps grieving families and offers training and support to the professionals who care for them.

Childhood Bereavement Network (CBN) - is a national, multi-professional federation of organisations and individuals working with bereaved children and young people. It involves and is actively supported by all the major bereavement care providers in the UK.

Children First for Health (CFfH) - is a child-centred health and hospital resource, supporting teenagers, children and their families. It provides comprehensive and age-appropriate health information from the UK's leading experts and paediatricians.

ChildLine - is the free helpline for children and young people in the UK. Children and young people can call to talk about any problem – counsellors are always on hand to help.

Contact A Family – is a UK-wide charity providing support, advice and information for families of children with disabilities, special needs or rare disorders.

Cruse Bereavement Care – exists to promote the well-being of bereaved people and to enable the bereaved to understand their grief and cope with their loss. The organisation provides counselling and support. It offers information, advice, education and training services.

Cruse Youth Helpline ( RD4U) – is a website developed by Cruse Bereavement Care's Youth Involvement Project which aims to support young people, after the death of someone close to them. They believe that the best way of doing this is to involve young people in planning, developing and delivering services.

Foundation for the Study of Infant Deaths (FSID) - is the UK's leading baby charity aiming to prevent unexpected deaths in infancy and promote infant health.

Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Trust – is a national centre of excellence in the provision of specialist children's health care, currently delivering the widest range of specialist care of any children's hospital in the UK.

Headstones for Children - National Association of Memorial Masons is an organisation dedicated to furthering the memorial masonry industry and safeguarding the interests of the bereaved through the promotion of high standards, wide choice and increased understanding in all matters relating to natural stone memorials.

International Children's Palliative Care Network (ICPCN) - is a worldwide network of agencies working with children and young with life-limiting conditions.

Miscarriage Association – provides support and information for those suffering the effects of pregnancy loss.

Netmums - is a unique local network for Mums (or Dads), offering a wealth of information on both a national and local level.

RoadPeace - is a national charity dedicated to supporting bereaved and injured road crash victims.

Royal Liverpool Children’s NHS Trust - is one of the largest and busiest children's hospitals in Europe. The Trust has a world class reputation for saving the lives of sick children and a proud history of medical achievement and clinical innovation.

SEESAW - is a registered charity dedicated to providing grief and bereavement support for children, in cases where a parent or sibling has died or is dying.

Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Society (SANDS) - supports anyone affected by the death of a baby and promotes research to reduce the loss of babies' lives.

Support After Murder or Manslaughter (SAMM) - offers emotional support to those bereaved through murder and manslaughter.

The Compassionate Friends (TCF) - is an organisation of bereaved parents and their families offering understanding, support and encouragement to others after the death of a child or children.


The Ectopic Pregnancy Trust - was established in 1998 to raise awareness of ectopic pregnancies amongst women of childbearing age, the medical profession and the general public.

Winston’s Wish - helps bereaved children and young people rebuild their lives after a family death. They offer practical support and guidance to families, professionals and anyone supporting a grieving child.
