The Child Death Helpline is a non-profit organisation, and therefore our service, and all the information we send is free of charge.
The Child Death Helpline is based at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Trust and the Royal Liverpool Children’s NHS Trust, Alder Hey. Within the two Trusts there are funds to benefit the work of the Child Death Helpline and thus we can accept donations. If we have the name and address of donors, and the donors are UK taxpayers, we can apply the Gift Aid regime to these donations and this means that for every £1 donated we can claim 28p from the Inland Revenue at no cost to the donor.
